Half a century of life, wine and cooperation: along these lines we could sum up the history of the wine cooperative Castelli del Gravepesa, an innovative experience conceived in 1965 on the Chianti hills, during a time of great changes in the centuries-old wine tradition of this area. An initiative promoted by eighteen "visionaries" guided by Gualtiero Armando Nunzi, that ensured the survival of many small and medium landowners. In fifty years, by combining effort and creativity of members of Castelli del Grevepesa, not only they managed to grow and succeed in international market, but they never abandoned research for quality and attachment to the territory, which remains the most important reason for their success.
