My Ma was born in Balestrate, in the Italian region of Sicily. She came to America decades ago and never forgot the food her parents prepared for her as a child. As all good Italian Mamas will tell you, recipes are not written down. They are created through love for your familia and the food. This is a compilation of my Ma’s recipes. She never took measurements for the ingredients. This was done to the taste of the Ma and the size of the familia you were cooking for.
